Q: How does this work?
A: Once I receive payment, I’ll send a shared Google doc with a questionnaire that you’ll fill out with the details of your relationship. When the questions are completed, I’ll begin writing the poem. If I need more information along the way, I’ll reach out.
Q: What kind of poetry do you write?
A: I specialize in accessible, unrhymed free verse that focuses on narrative & image. Peruse my Portfolio page to get a feel for my style.
Q: How will I receive the poem?
A: You’ll receive a PDF through email. You can gift it in any manner you choose! Print it on card stock, have it framed, include a photo, or just read it aloud. The possibilities are endless!
Q: Will you write a poem for my wedding?
A: Absolutely! It would be an honor.
Q: When will I receive my poem?
A: I offer a timely turnaround that's based on the date you need it in hand — usually two to three weeks. Need it in a week or less? I offer rush orders for an extra charge if my schedule allows.
Q: What if I don't like it?
A: Custom poetry is very much like commissioning a piece of art. You're taking a chance. That said, I'm good at what I do & want you to love your poem! I offer one round of edits for free.
Q: How do I pay?
A: I accept Venmo, CashApp, & Zelle, & request payment before I begin, please.
Q: Do you offer refunds?
A: I don't.
